Why Visit Rajasthan?
Rajasthan is what most travelers picture when they dream of India. Six different Rajput clans ruled this land for over a thousand years, each leaving behind extraordinary cities, towering forts, and ornate palaces — many now UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Six magnificent hill forts (Chittorgarh, Kumbhalgarh, Ranthambore, Amber, Jaisalmer, and Gagron) are collectively recognized by UNESCO for their military architecture and royal grandeur.
Beyond the monuments, Rajasthan is a state of unforgettable experiences — riding a camel across the Thar Desert at sunset, watching folk dancers perform under starlit desert skies, spotting tigers in Ranthambore National Park, sleeping in a 17th-century palace converted to a luxury hotel, and witnessing the riot of color that is a traditional Rajasthani wedding or festival. With its distinctive cuisine, world-class handicrafts (block printing, miniature painting, blue pottery, mirror-work textiles, leather, and silver jewelry), and legendary warmth of its people, Rajasthan offers one of the richest cultural journeys on earth.

Best Time to Visit Rajasthan
The best time for a Rajasthan tour is October to March, when temperatures are pleasant (10–28°C) and skies are clear. November to February is peak season, offering ideal weather and the famous Pushkar Camel Fair (November). April–June brings extreme desert heat (40–48°C), making sightseeing exhausting. July–September monsoon months are quieter and offer dramatic green landscapes, but some desert areas remain hot. For festivals, plan around Diwali (October–November), Pushkar Fair (November), Jaipur Literature Festival (January), Holi (March), or the Desert Festival in Jaisalmer (February).
