A family-run India and Nepal tour operator since 1996. Our own vehicles, our own drivers, and honest routes across north India and Nepal.
GoIndiaNepal is a family-run tour operator working across north India and Nepal since 1996. We drive people. That is the business — our own vehicles, our own drivers, and every kilometre of the route in between.
We started with one car and one driver, based between Delhi and Kathmandu. Three decades later the shape of the work has not really changed: someone tells us where they want to go, we work out an honest route, and one of our drivers takes them there. We have helped over a thousand travellers see India and Nepal this way, and a good share of our work still comes from people who travelled with us before, or who were sent by someone who did.
A private vehicle and a professional driver, for as long as your trip lasts. The price you see covers the car, the driver, all fuel, every road toll and interstate or state tax, parking at each stop, the route permits, and the driver’s own meals and accommodation on the road.
It does not cover hotels, and we want to be plain about why. Our income is the driving. We take no commission on hotel rooms, so bundling accommodation into the price would only mean adding a markup you have no reason to pay. You book the hotels you actually want, at whatever level suits you — and if you would rather not deal with it, we will book them on your behalf at the price we are quoted, with nothing added.
Trekking is the one exception. On trekking and high-altitude trips, teahouse accommodation, all meals on trek, your guide, a porter and the permits are included, because on the trail there is no separate booking for you to make.
Our strongest ground is north India — Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand — and the whole of Nepal, from Kathmandu and Pokhara to Chitwan and up into Mustang. These are roads our drivers work every week, in every season, which is why we can tell you how long a leg really takes rather than what a brochure claims.
We have also begun running trekking and some high-altitude routes, including Everest Base Camp and Upper Mustang, with registered guides and porters.
Whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, as a family or as a group, send us your dates, your rough route and your budget and you will get a real reply from a person. WhatsApp is usually the fastest way to reach us: +91 981 090 9368. You can also use the contact page, or start from our India tours, Nepal tours or combined India and Nepal journeys.
Since 1996. We are a family business based between Delhi and Kathmandu, and we started with one car and one driver.
We are a private driving company. We provide the vehicle, the driver and everything the road costs — fuel, tolls, interstate and state taxes, parking and permits — across north India and all of Nepal. We have recently added trekking and some high-altitude routes with registered guides and porters.
Because we make our money from the driving, not from commission on rooms. Bundling hotels in would only add a markup you do not need to pay. You book what you want at your own budget, and if you would rather not deal with it we will book on your behalf at the price we are quoted, adding nothing. Trekking trips are the exception — there, accommodation and meals are included, because on the trail there is no separate booking to make.
North India — Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal and Uttarakhand — and the whole of Nepal. Those are the roads our drivers work every week. We will tell you plainly if a route is outside what we do well rather than take the booking anyway.
No. Every trip is private. One vehicle and one driver for your party alone, from the first day to the last. We never combine parties and never hand you between drivers mid-route.
Usually the same day, and always from a person rather than an automated system. We work on Indian and Nepali time, so that is overnight for Europe and the Americas.
Yes — it is one of the things we are genuinely set up for, with vehicles and drivers on both sides. The usual land crossings are Sunauli and Kakarbhitta. We handle the road logistics; the visas are yours to obtain and we will tell you exactly what is needed.
You call us, not a call centre. Breakdowns are rare and our vehicles are maintained, but if one happens we send a replacement. This is a small family firm — the people answering the phone are the people who own the cars.
Tell us your dream trip and receive a personalised itinerary from our family team — usually within 24 hours.
