A Golden Triangle tour is the classic first trip to India — Delhi, the Taj Mahal at Agra and the Pink City of Jaipur, three cities joined by good expressways in a rough triangle. We run every Golden Triangle tour from Delhi privately: your own air-conditioned car and the same English-speaking driver from the first morning to the last, at the pace you choose.

Our prices are for the whole car, not per person. One, two or three of you in a sedan pay the same. You pick your own hotels, and we take no commission on them.
Every route below starts and ends in Delhi, and every one can be changed — add a night, skip a stop, or start from the airport.

Prices cover the vehicle and driver for the whole journey: fuel, tolls, state taxes, parking and the driver’s own meals and room. Hotels, meals, monument tickets and guides are separate and paid at cost.
The Golden Triangle is the name for the loop between Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in north India. Each side is a single day’s drive on modern roads, which is why it works so well as a first India tour:

Old Delhi’s Jama Masjid and the lanes of Chandni Chowk, then Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and the wide avenues of New Delhi. One full day covers the essentials; two lets you breathe.

The Taj Mahal, ideally at sunrise when it is quiet and the marble turns pink, plus Agra Fort and the Baby Taj across the river. The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so we plan the route around it.

Amber Fort on its hill, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and the Hawa Mahal, with bazaars for textiles, block prints and gems. Jaipur is also the gateway to the rest of Rajasthan. See our guide to the best things to do in Jaipur.
This is the question we are asked most, and the honest answer depends on how much you want to see versus how much you want to rest.
Because you keep the same car and driver, adding places is simple — the driver just keeps going.
Your total is made of four parts:
For a day-trip version, read our guide to the Delhi to Agra same day trip by car.
October to March is the best season: clear skies and comfortable days, with cool mornings in December and January. February and March are our own favourite weeks on this route. April and May are very hot, June is hotter still before the monsoon, and July to September brings rain — the tour still runs, but plan for heat or showers.
Tell us your dates and how many days you have. We will send a free route and a fixed price for the whole car, usually within 24 hours.
Four days is the comfortable minimum: one day each for Delhi, Agra and Jaipur plus the drive back. Six or seven days lets you add stops like Fatehpur Sikri and slow down.
Per car. The price covers the whole vehicle and driver for the journey, so one, two or three people in a sedan pay the same. Larger groups travel in a bigger vehicle at a different price.
Yes. Your driver can meet you at the airport or your Delhi hotel, and the start time is set around your flight.
No — the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. We plan your days so your Agra visit never lands on a Friday.
Not on our road tours. You choose your own hotels and we take no commission. If you prefer, tell us your budget and we will book them for you at cost.
It is optional. Licensed guides are hired at each monument and paid separately. Many travellers take one at the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort and explore the rest on their own.
Yes. The same car and driver can continue to Rajasthan, Varanasi, or all the way to Kathmandu. Just tell us how many days you have.
The Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its entry tickets are sold on the official Taj Mahal website.
Tell us your dream trip and our family team replies with a fixed price, usually within 24 hours. A detailed day-by-day itinerary costs €100, deducted in full from your tour price.
