Same Day Taj Mahal Tour from Delhi by Car
Delhi to Agra and back in one day on the Yamuna Expressway — the Taj Mahal at sunrise, Agra Fort, and home…
A private car and driver for as many days as you need. Fuel, tolls, taxes and the driver all included. You choose the hotels; we drive every kilometre.
A car and a driver, for as many days as you need them. This is the whole of what we sell, and it is the reason our prices are what they are. No hotel commission, no shopping stops, no agent in the middle.
You get a clean private vehicle, a driver who knows the roads, and a route we build with you. Everything else — where you sleep, what you eat, which monuments you pay to enter — stays your decision.
Self-drive in India is legal and almost nobody who has done it recommends it to a visitor. Lane discipline, horn language, unlit vehicles after dark, cattle, and the sheer density of a highway through a town are things you learn over years, not on a holiday.
A driver also solves the parts of the day that guidebooks skip: where to stop, where the toilets are clean, which gate of the fort has the shorter queue, and how to reach the hotel at 11pm when the road is closed for a wedding.
Our price includes the vehicle, the driver, fuel, tolls, interstate taxes, parking, place permits, and the driver’s own food and accommodation. Drivers are never expected to sleep in the car, and that cost is already in your quote rather than added later.
It does not include hotels, your meals, monument entrance fees, guides, visas or flights. We will book any of them for you at cost — we simply do not build a margin into them.
Most operators make you write in and wait for a price. Here are ours, in the open. Every figure is per person, per day, and it covers the vehicle, the driver, and everything it costs to keep both of them on the road.
| Travelling as | Vehicle | Per person, per day |
|---|---|---|
| On your own | Sedan | USD 92 |
| Two or three of you | Sedan | USD 49 |
| Family of four or five | SUV | USD 36 |
| Six to eight | Tempo Traveller | USD 33 |
A worked example. A couple driving the Golden Triangle over seven days pays 2 x USD 49 x 7 = USD 686. That is the car, the driver, the fuel, every toll and state tax between Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, all parking, and the driver’s own meals and bed for seven nights. There is nothing else to add at the end.
Himalayan routes cost more, and we will say so before you book. Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and the Char Dham roads are slower, harder on the vehicle and need a driver who knows them, so those itineraries carry their own rate rather than the day rate above.
We are drivers. We do not make money on your hotel, so we have no reason to put you in the wrong one.
We quote per person at the vehicle your group actually needs, so two people are never charged for a bus.

Tell us the cities and the dates. We come back with a route, the vehicle it needs and the price — usually within 24 hours.
It depends on the vehicle and the distance rather than a flat daily rate, because a day in the mountains is not a day on the expressway. Send us the route and we will price it properly instead of guessing.
Yes, working English. They are professional drivers rather than licensed guides — for commentary inside a monument we can book a local guide at cost.
No. That is already in the price. You will never be asked for it on the road.
Within reason, yes. An extra night somewhere, a stop you did not plan, a lie-in. Big changes to the route may change the price, and we will tell you before anything is charged.
It is customary but never required, and it is not built into the price. Whatever you give is the driver’s.
Yes. Airport transfers are part of any route that starts or ends in a city we drive.
