Chitwan is the reason to come. The park holds one of the densest populations of greater one-horned rhino anywhere, along with Bengal tiger, sloth bear, gharial and more than five hundred bird species. This itinerary gives you two full days there.
Either side of the park it covers the two places most travellers to Nepal actually remember: the Kathmandu Valley's temple cities, and Pokhara under the Annapurnas. You travel privately throughout — your own vehicle and driver, with fuel, tolls, road taxes and route permits paid.
Park entry fees, the safari drives and the canoe are booked separately and are not in this price. We arrange them for you at cost when you tell us your dates.
What is not included — hotels, meals, guides, monument tickets — is deliberate. Most travellers want to choose their own rooms and eat where they like, and paying an agency to book a hotel you could book yourself is money wasted. If you would rather we arranged all of it, we will. Ask when you enquire and we will quote it alongside the itinerary.
We are a family business and we have been driving these roads for thirty years.
Our other Nepal routes — the Kathmandu valley, Pokhara, Chitwan and Mustang — are on the Nepal tours page. If you want to cross the border and see both countries in one trip, that is the India and Nepal page.
