Frequently asked questions

Real questions our travellers ask before they book, answered by the family who drives these routes.','goindianepal'); ?>

Q: How strenuous is this tour?
A: This is a comprehensive journey covering long distances between cities. Days involve significant walking, often on uneven surfaces in forts and palaces. The pace is steady but comfortable, with ample time at each destination. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.

Q: Can we customize this itinerary?
A: Absolutely! This is a private tour, and you are the boss. You can add extra days, skip destinations, include side trips, or adjust the pace entirely. Simply let us know your preferences.

Q: What is the best time to take this tour?
A: The ideal time for Rajasthan is October through March, when temperatures are pleasant (15°C–28°C) and skies are clear. April–June can be extremely hot (35°C–45°C), especially in desert regions. July–September brings monsoon rains.

Q: Is this tour suitable for children?
A: Yes, with some considerations. The long driving days may be challenging for young children, but the forts, camel safari, and vibrant cities captivate older kids. Child seats can be arranged on request.

Q: Do you book hotels for us?
A: Accommodation is not included in the vehicle rate, but we can arrange hotels on demand across all budget categories — from heritage havelis to luxury palace hotels. Just let us know your preferences and budget.

Q: What types of accommodation are available in Rajasthan?
A: Rajasthan offers incredible variety — heritage havelis (converted merchant mansions), palace hotels (former royal residences), modern luxury properties, comfortable mid-range hotels, and authentic desert camps in Jaisalmer.

Q: Can you recommend specific hotels?
A: Yes, we have partnerships with excellent hotels across all destinations and can provide recommendations based on your requirements — whether you prefer authentic heritage, modern luxury, or comfortable budget options.

Q: Does the driver speak English?
A: Yes, all our drivers possess excellent working knowledge of English, sufficient for all travel needs, navigation, and general conversation. For in-depth historical explanations at monuments, we recommend hiring licensed local guides.

Q: What type of vehicle will we get?
A: The vehicle depends on your group size. For 1-3 persons: Suzuki Dzire sedan. For 3-5 persons: Toyota Innova/Crysta. For 4-8 persons: Tempo Traveller minibus. All vehicles are fully air-conditioned and well-maintained.

Q: Is the driver familiar with all these destinations?
A: Yes, our drivers have decades of experience driving across Rajasthan and know the routes, road conditions, and hidden gems intimately.

Q: What if we exceed the 200 km per day allowance?
A: The 200 km is calculated as an average over your entire tour. We track the total distance and only charge for kilometers beyond the cumulative allowance at a transparent rate (varies by vehicle type). For this long circuit, please check with us for exact calculations.

Q: What about tips for the driver?
A: Tipping is not included and is entirely at your discretion. If you are satisfied with the service, a tip at the end of the journey is appreciated but never expected.

Q: Is the vehicle insured?
A: Yes, all our vehicles are fully insured as required by Indian law. Your driver holds all necessary permits and licenses to drive international tourists.

Q: Which is the most scenic destination?
A: Udaipur is widely considered the most romantic, with its lakes and palaces. Jaisalmer offers the most dramatic desert setting. Both are unforgettable in different ways.

Q: How much time do we need in each city?
A: This itinerary allocates:

  • Delhi: 2 days (sufficient for highlights)
  • Agra: 2 days (Taj Mahal sunrise and Agra Fort)
  • Jaipur: 2 days (major forts and palaces)
  • Pushkar: 1 day (sacred lake and temple)
  • Udaipur: 2 days (lakes and palaces)
  • Ranakpur: 1 day (temple exploration)

  • Bikaner: 1 day (fort and rat temple)
  • Mandawa: 1 day (painted havelis)

Q: What should we wear in Rajasthan?
A: Light cotton clothing for daytime, layers for cooler evenings (October–March). Comfortable walking shoes are essential. Modest dress (covering shoulders and knees) is appreciated at religious sites. In desert areas, carry a scarf for sun and dust protection.

Q: Is the desert camp comfortable?
A: Luxury desert camps offer comfortable beds, attached bathrooms, and traditional cultural programs. It's a "glamping" experience, not basic camping.

Q: What local dishes should we try in Rajasthan?
A: Don't miss: Dal Baati Churma (signature Rajasthani dish), Laal Maas (spicy mutton curry), Gatte ki Sabzi (gram flour dumplings in yogurt gravy), Ker Sangri (desert bean delicacy), and Mawa Kachori (sweet) from Jodhpur.

Q: Can you arrange meals for us?
A: Yes, we can arrange meals on request — from breakfast at your hotel to lunch at recommended local restaurants and dinner at heritage venues, with dietary accommodations as needed.
