The Yamuna Expressway made this trip genuinely practical. Delhi to Agra is about three to three and a half hours on good road, which means you can leave before dawn, be at the Taj Mahal as it opens, and be back in Delhi for dinner.
Seeing the Taj at sunrise is not a marketing line — the marble changes colour in the first hour and the crowds are a fraction of what they are by ten. Getting there for opening is the entire reason to do this by private car rather than by tour bus.

Delhi to Agra and back
We collect you between 3.00 and 4.00 in the morning — early, but it is the whole point. Three to three and a half hours on the Yamuna Expressway with a tea stop. At the Taj Mahal for opening, roughly sunrise. Two to three hours there, then breakfast. Agra Fort mid-morning. If you want them, Mehtab Bagh across the river or the Baby Taj afterwards. Lunch in Agra, then back to Delhi, arriving early evening. Fatehpur Sikri can be added on the return leg if you leave Agra by two — it adds about ninety minutes.

Between 3.00 and 4.00 am, depending on where you are staying and the season. It is early. It is also the difference between having the Taj almost to yourself and queuing in the heat.
No. It is currently around 1,300 rupees for foreign visitors including the mausoleum, paid at the gate or online. Agra Fort is separate. We do not include entrance fees on any of our tours.
Yes — it closes to tourists every Friday for prayers. Agra Fort stays open. If you are set on a Friday we will plan Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and Mehtab Bagh instead, but we will always tell you first.
Yes, and people do. You need about twelve hours between landing and your next check-in to be comfortable. Tell us your flight numbers and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.
Not in the price. Guides are licensed and hired at the monument, usually 1,500 to 2,500 rupees. Our driver will point you to the official guide desk rather than to a tout. If you would rather we arranged one in advance, we will.
For the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, yes. If you also want Fatehpur Sikri properly, or Itimad-ud-Daulah and the marble workshops, an overnight in Agra makes for a much less rushed trip and we can price that instead.
The car, the driver, all fuel, the expressway tolls both ways, the Agra state entry tax and parking. Not the monument tickets, meals or a guide.
